I’m just curious how content is identified in your clickstream data.

Is it just by title (e.g. “Attack of the 30-foot Mushroom People”), by proprietary ID (e.g. NetFlix or IMDB numbers), or by a more universal identifier like EIDR?

If it’s not by some external ID, then how do you match data across platforms and providers?

    Hi Curt

The short answer is that it took many months of work! Our raw clickstream data is based around URLs and from there we have IDs. We then need to link up with the content and use public info to fill in things like genre, cast, crew, etc.
